Five HBC lawyers, Bill Meyer, Baine Kerr, Brad Peterson, Connie Eyster and Christopher Brauchli, have been named in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Woodward White, Inc., publisher of the annual Best Lawyers list, surveys attorneys across the country to determine those to be included. Bill was selected for his commercial litigation practice, Baine for medical malpractice, Brad for his work in construction law and Connie and Chris for their trust and estates practice. Chris has been included in “Best Lawyers” for over 20 years.

Baine Kerr lectures at Harvard University on Title IX Developments
HBC lawyer Baine Kerr taught a seminar on Title IX law at Harvard Law School. This is his second year at Harvard teaching developments in Title IX jurisprudence in the federal appellate circuits.
HBC welcomes Adam W. Chase as of counsel
Adam W. Chase has joined the Boulder law firm Hutchinson Black and Cook, LLC, of counsel. Adam brings to HBC over 15 years of experience in tax law with a focus in state and local sales and use tax for Colorado and Louisiana. He is the author of Colorado Sales & Use Taxation: The Complete State & Local Reference, is a regular lecturer and author in the area of tax law.
Bill Meyer lectures at International Lawyers’ Conference
Karen Mathis, immediate past President of the American Bar Association, and Bill Meyer of Hutchinson Black and Cook, recently returned from Damascus, Syria, where they spoke at the First International Lawyers’ Conference and met with President Bashar Assad to discuss potential reforms in the Syrian judicial and legal systems.
