Bill Meyer receives first-ever Life Member Award from ILAC

At its recent Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC) named Bill Meyer of Hutchinson Black and Cook, LLC as its first individual Life Member for his work in promoting the rule of law throughout the world.  Based in Stockholm, ILAC is a consortium of 35 multinational and national bar associations and non-governmental organizations with more than three million members, devoted to providing technical legal assistance in post-conflict situations.  In making this first-ever award, Paul Hoddinott, Chairman of the ILAC Council, cited Mr. Meyer's pioneer work in developing structures for international cooperation in post-conflict situations ranging from Iraq to Liberia to Haiti.
